TPS is a possible treatment option for Long-Covid

Long-Covid or Post-Covid describes a condition in which people have prolonged symptoms or health problems after a COVID-19 infection. These symptoms can persist for weeks or months and are not specific to a particular age group or severity of the previous illness. Neuro-Covid in turn refers to neurological symptoms and complications that can occur after COVID-19 infection and reports and studies indicate that a significant number of Long Covid patients have neurological complaints. The symptoms of the special form of neuro-Covid are diverse and can range from mild impairments to severe neurological conditions. One of the most common complaints associated with neuro-Covid is brain fog, where those affected have difficulties with concentration, memory or clarity of thought. The other symptoms described include persistent tiredness or fatigue, also known as fatigue or chronic fatigue syndrome. Sufferers may also experience pain in muscles and joints, headaches, dizziness, loss of smell or taste or balance problems. Neuropathy, the feeling of numbness or tingling in the limbs, as well as confusion or disorientation, are also among the possible signs of neuro-Covid. In more severe cases, neuro-Covid can also be accompanied by seizures or strokes. The exact causes of neuro-Covid are not yet fully understood, but it is suspected that inflammatory processes or damage to blood vessels may play a role. The exact mechanisms that lead to Long-Covid, Post-Covid or Neuro-Covid are not yet fully understood, but it is thought that immune responses, inflammation or vascular problems may play a role (see e.g: TPS: Long-COVID and possible treatment options ). Treatment of these conditions focuses on symptom relief and often requires multidisciplinary approaches, including medical, neurological and psychological care. Research into long-Covid, post-Covid and neuro-Covid is ongoing to better understand the mechanisms and develop more effective treatments.

TPS Treatment for Long-Covid, Post-Covid and Neuro-Covid: Goals and possibilities of TPS therapy

Transcranial Pulse Stimulation (TPS) has been used for some time in numerous practices and as part of multicenter practice studies, particularly in patients with post-Covid and especially neuro-Covid symptoms. There are now several hundred documented cases that clearly show that TPS can be a particularly effective treatment of choice in this case: Data collected to date speaks of significant symptom relief or freedom from symptoms in over 80 percent of treated cases. TPS interventions show clear results, particularly in cases of brain fog, fatigue and reduced physical and mental resilience. Clinical studies on TPS for Long-Covid, Post-Covid and Neuro-Covid are in preparation or already underway (see e.g: TPS study on Long-Covid in Spain ).
